Guest PhilUK Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I have had my Hero for 6 months now and am on Androbin CR3 clocked to 650mhz running LauncherPro which is vanilla with a2dp and is really nice. BUT... I'm wondering if there's more to be had with owning a bigger better phone, or is there not much in it. I checked out a Desire briefly and with a phone in each hand I didn't see any speed difference with navigating around the screens and app tray. I'm stuck with another 12 months to go on my Tmob contract, so I'll be paying for the phone. But that isn't a concern if the performance is going to be worth it. So what should it be? what would you buy? Desire, Nexus, Galaxy.......... Froyo..... or is there something new in the pipeline to wait for? I can't decide, but I can afford a phone so I'd like to be buying a phone. Please help me spend my money wisely.
Guest subhramani Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I had the same question. Thought of getting a Nexus one in the next coupe of days, but I was told that there are phones which will be released in the next three or four months with a 1.9GHz processor which is gonna be a monster. Though I dont have any more info over it, I think I should wait for it than go for a Nexus one. These new Android phones are killing me
Guest PhilUK Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I knew if I asked here first I'd get something interesting. It's my fault for buying such a stable (old) phone in the first place, but if you check my previous phones I usually wait until Tmob will give it to me free. I do remember asking if I couldn't get a G1, where would I be now?
Guest Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I still have 18 months on my contract, so I'm not likely to change soon. Everything seems to change rapidly these days. The dual core ARM processors are out now, so I wonder what kind of processor would be in the HTC hero replacement phone when my contract expires and which android version we'd be waiting for then... The Notion Inks Adam looks like the next thing I'd buy when I have money though. Its what the iPad should have been if Apple had used their brains instead of creating an oversized iPod.
