Guest daveycarter Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I had been using a rooted 2.1 Oscillation setup. The phone was performing poorly and wofo tethering with Barnacle had just stopped and I could not get it to work. I thought I would go back to stock ROM and start all over again. I had flashed the DLOAD file from the T-Mobile website and it installed fine. I rooted the phone with the custom recovery image (Amon RA ??) found on this site. Works great up to this point...... I then (Stupidly) mistakenly loaded my oscillation ROM Now all the phone will do is bot into the recovery screen. Tried reloading both the 1.4 standard ROM and the 2.1 Hungarian ROM but each time I get update failed. Does anyone have any advice on how I unbrick my phone. Thanks, Dave, :D

Am giving Linux a miss, too much for my tiny brain. If it don't work out the box I won't tinkering with it.

It seems you have to follow techy-geeky guides to do even the simplest things on linux. And those experts who write those guides still have to follow other peoples guides to get other things working.
