Restoring Stock

Hey,

I've rooted and installed the custom recovery image and now having fun playing with my new toy but I'm just worrying about when I may need to send it back to O2.

Am I right in assuming at some point we will receive a post containing an unrooted stock rom which would mean the custom recovery image would be removed too and no trace of my playing about with the thing? Or is there going to have to be another way to remove anything I have done?

I got accidental damage cover, so I suppose if all else fails I just hold it underwater and smash the thing until nothing is readable...but I'd just like someone to at least assure me/ let me know what will happen over this if at all?

Just switched from an Iphone and loving it, although I have a few problems with the streak. I got a crack over the back button, the screen scratched slightly (nice one gorilla glass) and the screen seems to be unlevel slightly - one corner is higher that the plastic side, and another corner lower.

So hmmm, I can see needing to have to send it back at some point because I probably don't take enough care of it if that description is anything to go by :/
