FRF85B OTA on the way

I received an OTA package of about 500+kB just now (presumably 85B), asking me to reboot to apply, which I did. It went to the AmonRA recovery, and then executed the package, but said the signature was not verified or something.

I'm guessing it's cos I'm rooted? (Rooted with the 83 build from here).

So I presume this link will not work for me either?

No, you need stock recovery for that update to flash. The best would be a full update.zip of FRF85B, preferable rooted signed with the test-keys.

Only stock recovery will do the trick.

I updated using the rooted version of FRF85b succesfully. But the it still says FRF83 in the settings menu.

Well I got as far as loading the stock FRF85B from FRF83. But this rooted option won't load. It failed in recovery when is checked the signature. The checksum is fine. Ideas?

That's probably because you misread the instructions. You need to flash his complete repackaged "stock" FRF85B first. The "rooted" file is only to root a stock build. It's not complete. In summary, you are still on FRF83 as it says. :lol:

If you went back to stock you have the stock recovery which means that file won't flash. You need a custom recovery for that as with anything else the community produces.
