Market Download Failure: "Starting to Download..."

After doing a Nandroid restore of my LCR 1.7 install, my market downloading has stopped working. It's stuck at the dreaded "starting download".

I also tried restoring several other Nandroid backups of 1.6 and froyo, all have the same problem now. This hasn't happened to me before. Most of the info I've read about this problem says that it was resolved after a number of hours or days of just waiting, or by switching to wifi. I've tried wifi and waited several days now and still no success. Does anyone have any solutions or ideas?

Did you use a different gmail address anytime?

Sometimes using different gmail addresses shows this problem

Open Google Talk while market is trying to d/l, it wil restart the GTalkService which is the one that allows your smartphone to deal with the market protocol :-)

I got the same here, went back from FRF50 from phhusson to LCR1.7 via a nandroid restore and my market is stuck no matter if I launch GTalk

That's weird :/ it's working for me.. Anyway the problem is strongly related with GTalkService, try to stop it into Settings -> Applications -> Services and then reboot..

Actually opening google talk, cancelling and restarting all of the downloads worked for me. Thanks a lot! I hope the rest of you guys get yours figured out...
