want to keep only 2g connection

Hi, I have following problem - want to keep 2g connection, because reception of 3g in my area is really bad, and I set "use only 2G network" option but it keeps resetting after reboot or airplane mode. How to sort this problem? I have FLB mode installed on fresh installation of hungarian update. However, I had similar problem with MCR 1.7 except for airplane mode and it used to be random now it is persistent problem.
