Guest sonicjuice Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Hi all I've got an N1 developer phone so I can obviously relock the bootloader using 'adb oem lock'. As its a Dev phone tho, can I also get root in an easier way than using Superboot? Just figuring if I have the ability to relock the bootloader I would have the ability to do other stuff that the standard retail phones can't? cheers, Thomas
Guest blunden Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 No, there is no easier way to get root with a dev phone compared to a retail phone with an unlocked bootloader.
Guest McNexus Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 If u had problems getting in touch with Paul regarding your previous post, maybe try xda site also for advice on this phone. Maybe Amon Ra?
Guest EddieZBMW Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Re-lock the bootloader?? I have the dev phone and I did adb oem lock and I was not able to re-lock it.
Guest sonicjuice Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Re-lock the bootloader?? I have the dev phone and I did adb oem lock and I was not able to re-lock it. Your HBOOT needs to say ENG S-OFF to be able to re-lock via adb - I've got an engineering phone I guess.
