White Power Control bar possible?

I want to change the power control widget bar to be white so I've been digging around and people are saying the PC bar is part of setting.apk......based on that I unpacked it but cannot see any references or images that correlate to the PC widget.

Has anyone looked into this or have any information that may help please?

It is indeed. Look in the \res\drawable-mdpi folder inside settings.apk using WinRAR. You will see files such as "appwidget_bg.9.png" which is the white background icon for the power control bar.

This apk also adds green icons to the settings menu. Another fix I was after. :lol:

Suggest you use the settings.apk from Oscillation 7B rom, as this has a white power bar by default :D

Yes I finally found my problem last night...was viewing via tiles in explorer and the icons all looked like white squares....clicking on them though and the icon becomes visible....doh.

Will download that ROM thanks......messed around trying to get the bar from a HTC Magic in.....it was 90% correct but phone bricked on reboot and had to re-install.....oddly using adb to push the old settings.apk back didn't resolve the issue :lol:
