Guest hp1 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Hi, I'm a Hero owner but my friend just got a Desire on Orange. She's having a problem where it appears to be impossible to wake the phone up or end a call once the call has connected. It doesn't matter what buttons are pressed, the screen stays black and the call stays connected. The only way to do anything about it is to pull the battery, not ideal. A quick google has revealed similar issues but no solution. Have any Desire owners here come across this issue? Cheers.
Guest FelixofMars Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I assume they tried single pressing the power button on the top? Hi, I'm a Hero owner but my friend just got a Desire on Orange. Guest Luqq Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Think his proximity sensor might be broken. The screen should turn on automatically in a call when you take it away from your head.
Guest hp1 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) I assume they tried single pressing the power button on the top? Yup, does nothing. Think his proximity sensor might be broken. Guest Time Sheep Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Well. Have you tried putting it on a table? Mine sometimes has to lie down before noticing I'm not holding it to my ear anymore. Had problems cancelling a call going on voicemail once. Yours seem to be a problem with the proximity sensor as the others say
