Guest W99 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Hi guys. I seem to have lost the camera shutter sound on my Nexus One when I take photos. I recently updated to FRF85b, but I'm not sure if I lost the sound before or after updating, as I don't take photos often. Is there any way to get it back, or does anyone know where the settings are? Thanks in advance.

Guest W99 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Did you try RESTORE TO DEFAULTS in camera option menu? Where is that menu, please? I simply can't find it anywhere. Thank you.
Guest Alex Buga Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 ) What have you done? I'm trying to get rid of it :D
Guest Dannoq8 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I hate to ask a daft question... but is your phone on silent? I just checked mine, and when the phone is on silent there's no camera noise, but then I turn the volume up and there is. I'd like to know how to remove it completely too.
Guest maedox Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Get root explorer and have a look in /system/media/audio/ui There should be a camera_click.ogg and VideoRecord.ogg in there, for camera and camcorder respectively. If you want to get rid of the sounds just delete them or rename to something else. (I just put a . in front of the names and it works good.)

(I just put a . in front of the names and it works good.) for older version (back in the January), delete them or rename them will cause camera app crash on shot, so I always use a silent.ogg to replace them
