Recalibrate screen?

Is it possible to do? Because I've noticed recently when I've been texting, it's pressing keys that I'm not touching and it's becoming irritating. I thought the screen may need it.

I don't think you can calibrate capacitive screens (then again, I may be wrong) but Is the screen cover still on? That messed up my mums phone once. Dust gets caught under it.

Actually, yeah it is. I keep meaning to take that off now, but it's so hard to get off.

Try below the menu/home button,it's much easier than picking the edges.

I had this problem a few days ago a few hours after I dropped my phone. It would select to the opposite side of the screen where I was pressing! It only lasted a few minutes and eventually fixed itself. Strange

i ran into this problem... the touch gone crazy by itself... i was playing a game on my PC and it was placed on the flat surface i.e table...

i got a text.. so i wanted to reply back... n all of a sudden its screen got crazy... i tried factory reset.. but it didnt help...

i left the phone for couple of minutes and it got fixed by itself :S ... what was that? is some kinda calibration is out or what?

its working fine now... but im afraid to have that problem again...

YOUR HELP WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED

Its not possible to recalibrate the screen. It always is as accurate as it was when you got it (unless you have physically damaged something). The offset is specified in the touchscreen driver. If you want to recalibrate it you'd have to edit the kernel, recompile and repack it.

It has been reported earlier that high moisture can mess up the input. Once I had wet fingers and it was very hot in my room (30 degrees C) my Pulse reacted to my finger although it was 2mm away from the display.

Best regards,

BB

The Streak is capacitive, no? Why can you calibrate it through recovery?
