Guest AndyCr15 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) It amazes me that they've only just finished FroYo and they've already been working on Gingerbread. Didn't they say they would be slowing updates down? Some details - http://hemorrdroids.net/?p=466 **EDIT** Of course, someone on MoDaCo beat me to it, lol http://android.modaco.com/content/android-...details-emerge/ Edited June 30, 2010 by AndyCr15

Doesn't hurt to post anyway. You could always pm or tweet myself or Christonge and we will post it in the news section.
Guest muncheese Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 As soon as a release is cut for consumption the next line begins release development. Meanwhile the iteration after that one is underway as well as experimental.
Guest Deathwish238 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Yeah Gingerbread has probably been in the works since Eclair. Google basically is constantly working on updates. When the main component of a new version of Android is completed, whatever other updates that has been completed up to that point will be included. Somethings that made it into FroYo were completed just a week before its initial release. Android 3.0 is going to push Android well past WebOS and iOS. The only thing those two OS really have over Android is a little more polish and cohesiveness. Android 3.0 is focusing on that, I can't wait! I hear things will be themed like the Eclair Gallery.
Guest Alex Buga Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 They do stated that they'll slow down updates, but AFTER Gingerbread.
Guest HustlinDaily Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Also read that after Gingerbread, updates will slow down to one per year. Meaning if you buy a phone in 2011 Q1, it could last you 2 years. Hopefully that is the case. Nexus Two, here I come.
Guest Kantankerousmind Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I thought andriod was good looking in my g1...gingerbread is going to be completely awesome...apple users are going to have a fit..I hope that google offers multiple themes.
