Congratulations! Another one falls in...

I suggest you put a link to http://android.modaco.com/category/413/t-m...lse-modaco-com/ in your bookmark toolbar (on the left), and develop a compulsion to check it at least once an hour for news on any of the following topics:

- official 2.1 release from T-Mo UK

- source release of 2.6.29 from Huawei/T-Mo

- Updates on Froyo 2.2 development

It's normal to wonder where the heck Paul has gotten to, and any tweet from the man himself with the word "Pulse" must be reported here immediately, presumably as evidence that he still loves us and hasn't been abducted by some iPhone cult, or just plain decided that farming chickens is easier/more rewarding than rooting the latest HTC creation.

Enjoy the transcripts of interactions with T-Mo sales/support, which are somehow reminiscent of the smart kid in maths baiting the harassed supply teacher, leading him into contradictions and confusion. It's OK to point and laugh.

There are many local heroes, people who converse in a language made of terms like "vendor config", "mount point", "flash", and alas "reboot loop". It is fortunate that we live in a tolerant age, for these people would have been the focus of many a witch hunt in times gone by. I can almost hear the rattle of pitchforks. We have BigBearMDC who is fearless in compiling anything that might look it is Android source code, and chases the Holy Grail that is Mull't'Tutzch; and who also Speaks To HuaWei. We have fibblesan, zerosignull and others who create 2.1 ROMs for our enjoyment while our errant T-Mobile parents chase Newer Phones and New Customers. We have TomG, who has conjured the spirit of Froyo 2.2 from our Pulse. Many others too, who deserve mention...(like Rem1x and his Framework Factory, an album I thought I remembered buying in the 80s).

Be sure to reserve an electrical socket close to your front door so that when you get in at night, you can dive at it with your charger lest your Pulse die of exhaustion.

Go not into the Desert of App2Sd, there be dragons. Be content with the RAM you have on the system partition, for it is sufficient, and we are not greedy. Besides, we need to hang on to the hair that we have, and pulling it out while trying to make app2sd work is not helping.

I think that's enough. My care worker has arrived. Enjoy your Pulse, we love ours.

Dave

I wonder how long it will be before the phone is on eBay and he is upgrading to a more powerful model?

Fail. And LULZ! And hi dude, enjoy the Pulse. (Didn't I already say that, or was that to someone in Absolute Beginners? BTW - Lots of Pulse questions there!)
