Cooked roms and DRM files

I have flashed two roms so far, one to my old axim and one to my i910. In both cases I could not play DRM protected files won't play anymore after they were re-flashed. The only DRM protected files I listen to are from my public library (audio books), and I have re-downloaded them so they get the phone's new "signature" (at least that is the way I think it works).

Any idea why this happens or how to solve it?
