Is there anyone here that is having problems with the touchscreen on the Streak? I'm finding that when I open the messaging app in landscape mode my touch is only being recognised sporadically in the bottom right when I try to select the text box.

I also experience this sometimes when trying to select the address bar in the browser. I noticed when I hard reset the device that there was a touch screen calibration option, do you think this will resolve the issue? I'm going to try it anyway and I'll post back with my results but i'd like to see if is happening to anyone else.

Both my wife and I had some problems with our touchscreens the first week.

I ran the touchscreen calibration and now it is all sorted.

If you have not install Koush's recovery then you start the device from a cold boot holding down the camera button.

If you have installed Koush's recovery then you do the same but hold down BOTH of the volume control buttons.

The menus will be self explanatory after that.

It's reassuring that it fixed it for you, but having completed the calibration i'm still having problems with the text boxes in certain scenarios. I'm going to try it again in the morning I think and see if my wife has the same problem with the handset or if it's just me.

When you calibrated the screen did you have to do anything? I was expecting the streak to ask me to touch certain areas of the screen but all it said was "do not touch the screen" and then "calibration complete" or something like that.

EDIT: - did it again, when complete it says calibration done in green writing. Interestingly this time after i started the process it returned the message calibrating please repeat in red and i had to start the process again. It did this a few times before it finally calibrated.

Well it' still happening so i'll just leave it a while and see if my wife mentions anything to me when (if!) i let her use it. It's probably just me!

watch the other part of the screen when you have a problem. Because streak is big i touch accidently the edge of the screen and the target part doesnt work.
