Guest alan090 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708991 reference to maxisma request to cyanogen maybe we can accomplish the same thing ? let me know what your thoughts are? I am no coder (at the moment, I have some programming knowledge -- basic and am trying to learn a bit but it is overwhelming) I would be willing to help in any way possible (theming, mirroring, modding, etc) Anyone think we could do this with the acer sources??? The liquid is even closer to the nexus one than the hero is the sapphire/dream as well in terms of hardware Edited July 4, 2010 by alan090
Guest Piter1225 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 First of all we would need a vendor tree. We can use N1 vendor tree, and modify it with some Acer specific stuff. But that's only theory.

But that's only theory. well we have to start somewhere right :)? we need to modify things from the n1 that are different to the acer liquid - so kernel drivers etc are really what is needed in the vendor - anyone have any ideas or has anyone built a rom for the liquid from source? can we use the acer kernel sources to build a rom from source?? Guest Piter1225 Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 There is needed someone with skills + a bit of luck :) I would start from modifying N1's vendor, the Liquid vendor is a bit old and not working Also Acer uses prelinked libraries, look for Auxx solution for that
