Can't download files with Nexus browser

Why all of a sudden can't I download files with the standard browser?

With Skyfire its OK about 50% of the times, but with the standard I haven't been able to start a DL for over a week.

Edit: found the fault now, for some reason all of a sudden .zip files wasn't supported. Installed AndroZip and its OK again.

I had this problem and realized that latest versions of froyo tend to block some downloads with default browser, and as I was aiming to Cyanogen mod I went to cm6 alpha and my browser got back to downloading anything...

You can also install Astro file manager from the market to enable the ability to download *any* filetype via the browser.
