A great Sat Nav program especially for free but is there anyway to change that voice? It's like Stephen Hawkins less abled sister! I've googled but have came up blank, anybody know if it can be done?

Would be even better if you could download map details to the SD card, say if anything gets updated you could download it on the pc and update it on the SD card, save you data usage, etc.

It uses the Android Text-To-Speech (TTS) engines, so you'd need to find an improved TTS engine, or reconfigure the existing one.

Edit: On another note, has anyone else noticed that streetview seems to have vanished from Google Navigation? It was working when I last looked, but doesn't appear to be there now. I didn't really use it, but it was a neat feature when previewing your route.

Sounds like comedienne Jo Brand to me .. I had an app called talking pad, used to type her usual punchlines in as a party trick .. sad I know!! but funny.
