Guest squrl Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I bought this a few days ago so I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but I think it's safe to say the case will be just fine. I'm not expecting much from the screen protector, but assuming everything is made in China nowadays, I think there will be a little to no difference between this and, say, a five times more expensive Brando protector :) When it arrives I'll let you know how it looks & feels.
Guest Kh0shHalam Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I've bought Zagg Invisible Shield and really pleased. It covers the whole device it's sratch proof and no mess. You can not even see its on the phone... also you get a 1 year warranty with it and free replacement should anything happen to it.

Guest dancedreamfly Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Try schmarky22's cases on eBay UK. They already come with screen protectors.
Guest ragflan Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) @squrl, Dude, I bought one of those black silicone cases from eBay. They are much easier to put on and take off (useful if you have a dock) The Gel cases are a tighter fit and are somewhat harder to take off (at least harder than the silicone cases). I hope you are lucky though, the black silicone case I received from eBay smells really strong of chemicals. I tried washing it and everything. The smell went away after 2 weeks of normal use but man! It really stunk. Let me know if you have better results. Edited July 7, 2010 by ragflan
Guest dbdkmezz Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Search for case-mate cases. i own one, its a top case. they will ship the case and screen protector. i got the "barely there" case for only 13€ That "barely there" case looks really nice, but I'm worried that it won't actually protect the phone very well. It's apparently got a fairly hard shell, rather than a rubber one, so I expect that means that it is less able to absorb shocks, so dropping the phone could still lead to serious damage. Then again I really don't know much about these cases, or how they are supposed to work, does anyone have a more informed idea about what's important in a case. Also, what's the point in screen protectors? I've had my phone for a couple of months now, without a screen protector, and my screen is still scratch-free, a quick fingerprint wipe with a t-shirt and it looks as perfect as the day I bought it. Thanks
Guest twe Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I hate silicone cases, they pick up dirt too easily and makes your £400 phone look like its worth £10. Have ordered the bestskinsever.com which is similar to the zagg one but cheaper in price $10.50 for the full body cover. Also ordered similar back/body covers like the case-mate ones mentioned above. Still waiting for them from hong kong off ebay but my skins turned up yesterday - will try and fit them on tonight.
Guest traspler Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) I bought a screen protector to "de-mirror" the screen (or however it's called in English) and was very dissatisfied with it. Text became incredibly fuzzy and on white backgrounds you could see many colored pixels (as if you magnified the screen). Oh and as a case I use one from gripis. Edited July 7, 2010 by traspler
Guest squrl Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) So my case & screen protector finally arrived, it is exactly what I've expected. The case is fitting nicely, looks good, but it picks up dirt a little, no big deal. The screen protector was useless though, 'twas hard to install it and it had a few dust specks on the sticky side out of the box, so it ended up in trash can. Edited July 9, 2010 by squrl
Guest abs_rio Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 I should be receiving my htc desire soon. I'm not too keen on the Zagg invisible shield as it leaves some edges unprotected. I was looking at the flexishield gel case http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/flexishield-ski...lack-p24206.htm And a martin fields screen protector to go with it. Has anyone used these or got any opinions on these two?
Guest Jagdish Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 anyone tried this one? http://www.case-mate.com/HTC-Desire-Cases/...Torque-Case.asp seems like a nice one.
Guest Happy Dave Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 anyone tried this one? http://www.case-mate.com/HTC-Desire-Cases/...Torque-Case.asp seems like a nice one. yup I've got one, its the nicest by far of the gel style cases I bought BUT its a very soft gel compared to the others and attracts dust and fluff, and being black it all shows up. However as its so soft its easy to get on and off which is a plus for a Brodit car mount. I haven't used the screen protector so can't comment on that. Got mine off ebay with a £16 best offer accepted
