Guest Tyxerakias Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 (edited) In the description of the newest firmware I9000XWJG1, BomG says this: This is the last version (exUSSR - as JFB) - i9000XWJG1 - all langs on it. Two CSC - I9000SERJG1 is Russian. http://narod.ru/disk/22454832000/i9000XWJG1.7z.html If it possible - make R2 with this newest FW :) Newest versions you will find on 4PDA forum - http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=172712 Then - on sams-web :D So I went to the russian site, and found I9000XWJFF, which looks equally new: http://narod.ru/disk/22444619000/I9000XWJFF.7z.html Inside there is a CSC-I9000OXXJF9, and a MODEM-I9000XXJF8, which from my limited understanding look western European and not Russian. Could someone who knows about this firmware confirm what it is? Should we western Europeans flash this? I noticed that the CSC contains APN stuff from the UK and many other 'XX' countries. Guest Tyxerakias Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Thanks BomG. So why is this not on the samsung-firmwares page? And how does it differ from the JG1?
Guest Darkstriker Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Thanks BomG. So why is this not on the samsung-firmwares page? And how does it differ from the JG1? If you look on the samsung-f/w site you will see that the JFF/JG1 endings represent the date of publication (rather the month). The JG1 is from July 2010 whereas the JFF was still released in June 2010 (at least if the info on the site is correct) http://samsung-firmware.webs.com/samsunglettercode.htm

That just says that they started working on the Russian version after the European multi CSC was finished... but it doesn't mean it's better. Can anyone that has more inside info (BomG?) confirm?
