Guest Subject Delta Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Looks legit enough to me, although if it had been actually leaked, devs would be all over it. It's probably just a guy who is involved in testing showing off.
Guest neomoz Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I wished he pressed that video icon, does that mean we'll have a proper standalone video player in 2.2 instead of it being kludged in the photo app, xvid/divx support a possibility?
Guest sucramco Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 i don't believe!! It is fake The Froyo video is real guys. Do more digging and reading and you will know.

It would sure be nice, the limited range of formats that most phones support is annoying.

Guest Mondaro Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 no fake ... it's real. udk got an htc internal testing version of the desire froyo rom from an htc employee. as being said a couple of times on xda he's well-known in the winmob cooking scene and has already got some leaks in the past. so even if he doesn't get a stable release very soon - we can look forward to the official htc froyo update with some VERY nice features to be added :)

Guest VeeDubZ Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 release in the next couple of days by the looks of it.....
Guest Noonski Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Very plausible as I read about support training starting for new Desire Update and the release now being somewhere between 4 to 6 weeks. Off course that story could also be fake but the Video does seem to back it up a bit. I don't know if UDK has his fingers in Android at the Moment (check, seems he does). Question is what he's going to do with it and if he's had or still has his hands on the device. I know UDk can be protective of leaks, but I don't know him for dishing out BS.

Guest ninja.rogue Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 It's all true. I am beta testing the rom since sunday. It is a leak of the official 2.2 Sense rom for Desire. No porting at all. Everything is working now - it wasn't when we got our hands on it. You just have to wait for us to put the link on xda. It will be posted today. We will open a new thread also here for possible infos. Main thread is in italian forum myppc.it Cheers guys

Great work. 1 question: What will be the difference between the ROM you release and the official ROM that HTC release, in terms of functionality? Will the HD video recording be improved for example (I have seen a sample video from the ROM you have and thought the frame rate seemed quite low)?
