Rooted Desire - Can I go back to official desire rom?

Hi there.

I apologise if I'm asking a question that's been asked before, but I had a scout around the net and through the forums here and I couldn't find a definitive answer.

My question is;

I've got a HTC Desire which I rooted following Paul's pre-risk free root method. It's been flashed with a few different builds over the past few weeks (MCR, Shadowfrost, Setenza etc).

I've currently got Paul's rooted near-stock build on my Desire right now, but what I'm wondering is if I can acquire and go back to the official HTC Desire build?

If it is possible, I'm really not worried about losing root or anything, I just really want to go back to official builds, is all.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, one final question.

Do you know if, using that method you linked to, I can use the same goldcard I used to root my phone?

Or will I now have to create a new goldcard in order to unroot?

Thanks

When Froyo official is launched, can i unroot from rooted 2.1 'back' to official 2.2 RUU? Or do I have to go through the charade of backrooting to 2.1 then doing an OTA update?

When the official 2.2 RUU is released, Paul should have a rooted version within 1 or 2 days, and

I guess if you load the official unrooted 2.2 rom, there is no way to root it again.

Until the new HBOOT is cracked to allow it :)
