Battery icon size

The title says it all, I'm a starter themer, My objetive is to make the icon wider(PNG attached). The problem is that android resizes it to a box and my icon looks tiny(screenshot attached). I dont know which file(xml) from layout sets the maximum size of icons. Any hint?
