Guest Jez_ Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Hi, I'm currently running Froyo and preferring it without the 'HTC Sense' skin. Does anyone know if it'll be possible (once the official version is released) to gain the updates / new features, but retain the stock android skin? The only thing I prefer about HTC Sense is the sliding drawer for all the main programs / icons, but I can live without that part. :) Cheers
Guest Subject Delta Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 If you bake a custom ROM in paul's kitchen (or make one yourself if you have the knowhow), it isn't that hard to remove the Sense launcher, and replace it with the standard Android launcher. Hell, you can even keep the HTC sense stuff installed and just install the standard launcher and set it as the default
Guest ragflan Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I actually recommend LauncherPro Beta over stock launcher. It looks like stock but the swiping between screens is really smooth. You can install it on 2.1 and check it out. It's my launcher of choice even on Froyo r21 now.
