Unrooting question

I recently installed ShadowFrost rom 1.4 and also kernel v6.

I am thinking of unrooting as since then, my Desire hasn't been performing as well as it did before.

If I chose to unroot and flash a stock rom, would this return the kernel back to one for the particular rom I flash?

If it wouldn't, is there a way to change the kernel to a more suitable one for the stock rom?

I have hboot 80 and am looking to go back to this rom http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bravo/RUU_...6984_signed.exe

If I haven't provided enough information, I do apologise and will provide more if necessary.

Going back to stock is exactly that - back to stock

Everything you've done so far would be undone and it's go back to how it came out of the box
