Guest filribeiro Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Hi guys, I'm newbie in android world and i want to root my htc desire. I have a question: The APP2SD function comes with the cooked ROM or i have to do something else to have it? when do i have to partition my sdcard to have app2sd? sorry about the basic question but i cant find this info anywere. Thanks for the help!
Guest Frankish Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 If you follow the guide on here to root it you can flash the MCR 3.1 rom. That has A2SD in it if you select the one that includes it to download. The recovery that is part of the rooting guide has a menu that will partition your sd card for you. I chose swap=0 ext=512 and fat32= remaining space. If you do that though make sure you backup your sd card as it will wipe all data off it. :)
Guest Subject Delta Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 And make sure you put your EXT partition at the end of the card, otherwise A2SD will not work properly.

Well the way i suggested does make sure it goes that way. Although i suppose if your going down the Gparted/LiveCD route then it's useful to know.
