Stu TIA Hi yes sure you will be fine when roaming when using the Rebel Sim II V1.2 firmware but if using V1.1 then be sure to carry a spare phone just in case. As the Dell with the Rebel Behaves just like unlocked version of the Dell Steak you can go anywhere without worry. Network can be found by the phone itself even if you ever lost it while going under a tunnel or stepping out for air plane in another country. Your phone would auto login to a preferred carrier from list in network Simcards or you can do a network search and be able to choose any provider so long your network sim operator has a roaming agreement with them You dont need to enter Apn settings are these are being auto populated by the Streak via internal DB for your network sim and when you roam you still dont need to change these settings in way. To make sure you get data working while you are roaming turn on Data roaming function as you would normally have to do even with real unlocked dell streak. so over all to sum up for you i think you will not even know you are using a locked phone with another network sim and a rebel sim II with v1.2 The behaviour of the phone in the or outside the UK is going to be just like you are using a True Unlocked Dell Streak. Guest deekarma Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 How easy is it to use the rebel sim? I am heading to costa rica next week and would love to take streak and slot in a costa rican sim.
