Guest hazi1964 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 I am currently running SetRom 3.0 (see image for more details) Prior to this rom I was running ShadowFrost (see image for details) with Kernel v6 Since running the ShadowFrost Rom, I have had trouble with my wifi connection. It disconnects when the phone is in sleep mode (screen off). It doesn't happen immediately, seems to happen after the phone is asleep for quite a while, possibly a couple of hours. Prior to installing the ShadowFrost Rom, it never disconnected, was great. I also installed the Kernel V6 which I thought might be the problem. So, I have now installed SetRom 3.0 but the problem is still happening just as much as with the ShadowFrost Rom. However, from the images, you can see that the kernel appears to be the same one (unless I am mistaken). Anybody have any ideas how to resolve this issue or how to install a more comptible kernel? If there is another Kernel that any of the more experienced members know about, perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know where I might download from if this is likely to be the problem? My other option is to unroot in the hope it restores the kernel to what it was in the first place but if I can avoid unrooting, that would be preferrable. If you need any more information, let me know and I will do my best to provide it. Meanwhile, thank you in advance to anybody who might be able to help me resolve this frustrating issue. Alison
Guest hazi1964 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Just to let you all know, I managed to solve this problem (all by myself, yay). In case anybody else ever encounters the same, here is what was happening. I had previously installed Titanium Back Up and backed up everything, absolutely everything, including system settings etc. This meant that Titanium was automatically restoring my phone to it's previous settings for my previous rom version. I uninstalled Titanium and it still kept trying. (Think it's because I had installed it to sd card and not the phone and I hadn't wiped the sd card, just the phone). I denied it Superuser Permissions, uninstalled it again and now the wifi is working exactly as it should. I still have Titanium on my sd card somewhere but can't find it so will be buying a new sd card, completely formatting the phone and re installing all my apps. So, if anybody encounters this problem, check to see if you have Titanium installed somewhere and hopefully it will be that which is causing the issues. Alison
