Guest david_dawkins Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 T-Mo replaced my Pulse a few months back after the USB socket came loose. Today I find that the socket is still intact, but the phone won't charge if the cable isn't at the right angle, presumably affecting a bad joint from the socket onto the motherboard. I'm going to take it back; I'm wondering if T-Mo are likely to be able to offer me an alternate (Android) phone, and if I should go for it. Would you swap your Pulse for a Mini? Or what? Dave
Guest batch_2001 Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 My USB connector disappeared inside my phone today. This may explain the poor battery life I was getting if was moving around shorting something. So anyway, does anyone know if T-Mobile check whether you have the official ROM on the phone before repairing it. As I am running 1.7 and have unlocked the phone. I have no way of restoring the december update given the battery isdead. sob.

Guest nxsfan Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I had the custom 2.1 on mine and they repaired it after the USB port detatched. I ran the battery flat before I took it to the shop but they didn't try to turn it on anyway. It really is a shame it happens so easily.
