Troubleshooting WI-FI doesnt work <-- mostly you are using an overclocked kernel and you need the correct dhd.ko file.To fix this issue follow this steps: 1)Download dhd.ko from here 2)Install with command --> adb push dhd.ko /system/etc/wifi/ Edited July 16, 2010 by Pretoriano80
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) First impression with this official rom (please post your feelings about this rom and i will try to add them here) 1) RAM - after the first boot my free RAM was somewhere around 45-50 MB (many applications are running in backgroud, thank Acer for that :) ) - on second boot and using LauncherPro and a couple of widgets free RAM was 72MB 2) GPS -outdoor GPS is working great with or without A-GPS enabled -indoor GPS is struggling a bit without the A-GPS 3) Battery -maybe is just me ,but it seems that battery last a bit longer than 1.100.05 4) Audio -Audio Volume --> imho audio volume is at same level as LCR 1.6 rom -Audio Quality --> audio quality seems much better with this rom and music sound much better both using headphones or build-in speaker 5)LinPack score The best score i could get with stock CPU speed it was 5.507 Well, after testing this rom for almost two days now,i must say that i like it very much and is quiet fast for a stock rom,wi-fi also works great, but i do hate all those Acer applications .I know many of us want more and more (overclock, tethering, etc) but for ppl wich don't wanna mess to much with flashing roms and stuff this rom it's a good deal for everyday use!!! Applications/Scripts/Themes <-- Credits for all these goes to their respective owners/creators Missing Your HTC keyboard? No problem!! HTC_ime and Clicker download link --> HTC Keyboard Download the two applications from the link above, extract them from the archive and use your favorite .apk installer to install them on your phone . GalaxyLiquid Theme Here's a nice theme for you --> GalaxyLiquid Theme LainSuxem Sensitivity Tool Here you can find an application that help modify your touchscreen sensitivity Direct Link --> LainSuxsem Sensitivity Tool Liquid Tether (Please note that YOU HAVE TO INSTALL A NETFILTER ENABLED KERNEL) This great application enable tethering on your Acer Liquid --> Liquid Tether Topic Having problems getting Liquid Tether to work? Here's what you need to do: (Thx to nferro for sharing this) 1. Install one of the overclocked kernels; 2. Install Busybox from Malez Recovery (it's under "Other") (I had Busybox from Titanium but it didn't work); 3. Install the correct dhd.ko: you can download it from here and install with command "adb push dhd.ko /system/etc/wifi/"; 4. Run LiquidTether :-) Edited July 12, 2010 by Pretoriano80
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Known Bugs (so far) SIM Contacts <-- SIM contacts are reloaded everytime you boot/reboot your device even if you disabled that option. Fixed Bugs (from the previous non-official roms) Slow SMS loading <-- fixed Edited July 11, 2010 by Pretoriano80
Guest fantong Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 great what I need is stock room+superboot. I just remove unwanted app from rom and keep my phone clean and fast.
Guest kephas Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Pretoriano80, have you tried applying the script to increase touch screen sensitivity? If not, do you think it'll work on 1.100.39?
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Pretoriano80, have you tried applying the script to increase touch screen sensitivity? If not, do you think it'll work on 1.100.39? Didn't tested cause i'm quiet happy with the sensitivity on this rom and also i'm not sure if it will work (i guess it should because is still an Eclair rom,but is just a guess).
Guest ondris Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Didn't tested cause i'm quiet happy with the sensitivity on this rom and also i'm not sure if it will work (i guess it should because is still an Eclair rom,but is just a guess). This script works, tested by me. But there was also a script in LCR 1.7 and I guess It was made only for LCR 1,7 because this one doesn't work. P.S. : I know we should not talk about other roms but It was just to give my feedback on the script :)
Guest jayziac Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) maybe it's just barely notceable, but turning on the wi-fi is a bit faster than what I remembered in 1.100.05. Edited July 11, 2010 by jayziac
Guest vikings123 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Am I the only exception? Battery last much shorter than 1.100.15
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Am I the only exception? Battery last much shorter than 1.100.15 For me it seem at the same level as 1.100.05 rom,but i will need a few more days of testing (work days i mean). Btw wich Superboot image did you flashed?I'm asking because i'm using the default one from Vache but i noticed that after i've rooted my phone with this one my free RAM gone from 83MB to 60MB on "cold" boot and goes to 45-50 MB after using some apps. Before flashing Vache's one i've tested with an "old" one wich was based on 1.100.05 and the free RAM was awesome, also the phone was very smooth (i'm still investigating on this).
Guest Charlton22 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Can we have a 998Mhz boot image? Thanks
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Can we have a 998Mhz boot image? Thanks I guess that's been asked 10 times now in the other topic so let's not do the same here (when one will be available i will add it to the first post). And btw,bug reports or any other issues (like battery draining) will not be inserted to the first post if you are using an overclocked device (you can say anything you want but overclocking can always give you troubles).

I have latest Android SDK. m054.img is in the ASDK/tools/ folder but there is not fastboot file, where do I get the fastboot file for mac? shreedhan:~ shreedhan$ cd ASDK/tools shreedhan:tools shreedhan$ ./adb reboot bootloader adb server is out of date. killing... * daemon started successfully * shreedhan:tools shreedhan$ ./fastboot -i 0x0502 flash recovery m054.img -bash: ./fastboot: No such file or directory Edit: Downloaded fastboot-mac from HTC's dev site but now when I try and execute it in terminal I get a permission error. shreedhan:tools shreedhan$ ./fastboot-mac -i 0x0502 flash recovery m054.img -bash: ./fastboot-mac: Permission denied shreedhan:tools shreedhan$ ./fastboot-mac -bash: ./fastboot-mac: Permission denied Edit 2: Fixed, downloaded Paul's version of fastboot-mac in Superboot thread, stickied. Guest HustlinDaily Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Has anybody had the bug where it freezes in standby when switching between 2G/3G?
Guest CedricGatay Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Has anybody had the bug where it freezes in standby when switching between 2G/3G? I had it twice yesterday, wiping dalvik and cache seemed to help, no freeze since...

Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 I did this like you have in tutorial. My phone don't stop restarting, don't start. What can i do? I'm worried. PLease help me fast!!!! Maybe if you give us more details (wich OS you are using, what were you doing before getting that endless reboot) maybe you can get a "fast" help. And btw if you follow this guide it should work without issues and can't brick your Liquid.
Guest droug Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 I already restore with nandroid backup. I follow this tutorial close. Don't miss anything. Problably this problem occurs due to overclock. 920Mhz. But In previous version I have my liquid overclocked in my nandroid backup. So I don't know what happened
Guest Pretoriano80 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 the 880 has it ramzwap too? No idea, but i was thinking to ask Vache myself,so i can add a description on the first page.
