Guest Kilack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Yeah the new lockscreen is a step backwards really...
Guest Andrew Luecke Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Yeah the new lockscreen is a step backwards really... I agree, in fact, its too vulnerable to getting unlocked. ICE comes with a lockscreen which is similar to the original (with an ICE applet). However, with that enabled, alarm no longer works correctly..
Guest alanlsmith Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Try Lock Bot Pro, this has lots of lock screens variations in the style of 'Hero', 'Eclair', 'Froyo', even 'Galaxy S' & seems to work well in Android 2.1, (in 1.6 on an old (Galaxy i7500) it had some issues over-riding the standard lock screen at times.), it doesn't display live wallpapers like the standard i9000 lock screen LockBot Pro in Market
Guest Andrew Luecke Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Btw, I'm hoping to start downloading the Android Source code tonight (it's 2GB) from http://source.android.com/source/download.html and give switching launcher and such a try.. Not sure if it is the right way to approach this, but it's the way I'll be doing it.
Guest alanlsmith Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Sort of edit to my earlier post, having now received a couple of calls, Lockbot would appear to be reluctant to let the phone ring & also doen't show any caller screen, which is a bit useless, as unless you are calling yourself (to test it) you have no idea anyone is calling, so it's worth checking if this is the case, before relying on it.
Guest bigbadwolfie Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Why use not the standard security pattern unlock? Edited July 12, 2010 by bigbadwolfie
Guest soulcrash Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Sorry for just pushing this up, but im still looking for the stock lockscreen, maybe someone has found a way to use it already :(
Guest Brantyr Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Try flyscreen - it's not quite stock because you can put widgets on it but this is a plus IMO (I have my mixzing control on it) and it's free on the market. You need to change the settings to make it replace your lockscreen
Guest tonemgub Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 I tested some several Lockscreens (Lock 2.0 and Lock Pro) but the Widget Locker is the fastest i know.. Did not tested the flyscreen, but i am very happy with Widget Locker.. You can put widgets on it (i have fancy widget and sms unread count for misssing calls and sms) and you have different sliders (iphone, widget locker, etc..). http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker
