Hi guys,

The new Korean ROM contains a new baseband firmware. The version is 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04.

The version is identical to the one contained in the newest Desire 2.2 update. This might be the key to 720p on the Nexus One/Froyo.

This update.zip doesn't have the HBOOT as I have no idea how it impacts the rest of the phone and the flashing/downgrading capabilities of the phone.

I ONLY TESTED IT WITH MY PHONE! IT MIGHT NOT WORK AT ALL WITH YOURS!

Tested on a T-Mobile version (900/AWS/2100 MHz, European version).

Download: http://www.multiupload.com/KLJAXW9G4C

It just works, camcorder and camera still works properly, no need to update the Camera APK.

The HBOOT included in the Korean ROM is a new version, HBOOT-0.35.0017, and once upgraded it seems to be extremely hard to downgrade. Once upgraded, other passimg.zip that has a lower HBOOT version file cannot be installed, i.e., you cannot downgrade to the Eclair version shipped originally with nexus on. Even with the bootloader unlocked, the "fastboot flash hboot..." command does not work (permission denied...or something like that...). Currently if you simply avoid installing the new Hboot (and yes, it was a very wise decision that you excluded the HBoot file from your upload), you are fine, but if not, you are quite stuck...like me :-(

As I told you on XDA, I'm just saying this allows the Desire to do 720p. This might help even more on the Nexus One.

this allow official 720p support?

Not exactly. But it might help understanding how HTC tackled this "issue" in the Desire ROM, then reproduce all the needed bits on the Nexus One. Or might give us better/working 720p on the future 2.2 Desire ROM port.

No, I mean does Desire now have official 720p support?

I just want a Radio with WAP 2.0 support so my old APN will work

Yes.

Put this radio onto my N1, everything works fine, reception seems good. Some people reckon the data throughput is worse but it's about the same for me. Not sure if it's related, but my battery life is fantastic at the moment.

AFAIK The radio has nothing to do with WAP, it´s the browser that doesn´t support it, did you try Opera?

@nomadism : I'm in the same situation... Have you find a way at least to go to a FRF91 US (modify update.zip and resign, custom recoveries etc) ?

EDIT : YEah there's a way to go to FRF91 us keeping the radio and the hboot.

Just use a custom recovery and download stock system.img there http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3033. It worked for me

Just added this radio to my N1 using Paul's excellent R21 and all seems well. GPS works a treat, data throughput of 905 kbps on 3G.

Once I've used it for a day or two, I'll know whether what the battery life is like.

Good spot!

I just flashed this today and it says it cannot connect to the camera... Any idea on how to fix plz???

EDIT: Ok, after waiting for a few minutes and opening the camera app again, it works now... Is this weird or is it just my phone???

And now for some reason after I restarted my phone again, it doesn't seem to work again aaaaargh!...

I decided to flash back to the previous radio I was using and thought my camera would work again but the result is still the same... sigh.....

Anyone know how to fix this???

Wipe your SD card and then wipe your device. Reload your ROM. This is the best solution when major pieces start breaking down.
