Guest agent8080 Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 My friend just got a Galaxy S and asked me to setup her Exchange email. All seems to work except that outgoing emails just sit in the outbox and never send. I use an HTC Desire for Exchange mail from the same server and have no such issues. Anyone else seen this or know a solution? I've installed Touchdown for her in the mean time which works, however it takes a helluva long time to open up and seems to freeze up quite a bit.
Guest amacrobie Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I take it her user account is enabled in AD for mobile device access ? (Or it's enabled globally through exchange system manager?). There may also be a minimum spec for the exchange server; on some implementations of android mail you can use exchange 2003 and earlier, on others you can't. Until someone broke OMA over the weekend I was happily using my GS with Exchange 2003 on Pauls R2 ROM...

It is 2003 but I think we're moving to 2010 shortly. Think I will just try to fix the stalling issue then Touchdown will be fine for her. Thanks for your input.
