Guest garagemc Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Hi guys Is there a guide to using apps2sd? I ask because I have it installed and have done the transfer things the bootloader. However, the space free on my phone still has not gone down. Does this mean I have to delete the apps on my phone manually once I have moved them to my SD card?

Does this mean I have to delete the apps on my phone manually once I have moved them to my SD card? It seems that this is what you're looking for: A2SD is enabled but my free space is still going down Note: If you apply Darktremor Apps2SD and still notice internal storage is decreasing, this is due to the dalvik-cache not being moved. By default, Darktremor Apps2SD will not move the dalvik-cache on boot. If you want to move the dalvik-cache to the sd card, type: a2sd cachesd (move dalvik to sd card) a2sd cachepart (move dalvik to cache partition) Make sure your SD card is at least a class 4 before doing this, otherwise you may run into performance issues, unless you move the dalvik to the cache partition. You still have other caches (i.e. Browser caches) and other data being stored and updated in internal storage, so the number of free space will continue to drop, but at a slower rate (unless you are engage in heavy web surfing, tweeting or facebook socializing.) at http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...s/#entry1303318 I moved the cache to sd and it works great (on Kingston SD class 4) Edited July 12, 2010 by ambrozija

Guest sewa0505 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 One question though: Is there still this bug on the 1.5 MCR? Because I needed to clean the dalvic-cache on every boot, and that was horrible. Now they say it's fixed, but on some other MOD (i think a 2.1). So whazzup? :D

Guest Watt25 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) I know how to use App2Sd, but now I have a problem. I want to use App2SD WITHOUT any Custom ROM. I'd like to use the original UK 2.1 ROM. I've already got root permissions (with su-2.1-e-signed.zip), I have installed App2SD (a2sd-2.7-update3r1-signed.zip). I made an ext2 partiton on my SD card. After that I tried this: adb shell $ su # a2sd Got no errors, looks everything in place. But most of the programs won't start (FC before first screen) and after phone restart the phone does not boot. Only the T-Mobile logo appears with the purple arrow circleing. (And after a while this screen reappears. Look like a bootloop.) My question is is there any additions in custom roms that is missing from original rom? Should this thing work as I tried, or I missed someting? Thanks! (Sorry for bad English.) Guest Daz555 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Run the a2sd check command and report back what it says.
Guest Watt25 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Ok, now I've just realized that there's a stock rom already rooted and upgraded with App2SD made by flibblescan. So I use that version.
Guest TelluricMax Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 the way of making & using APP2SD in 1.5 is the same with 2.1? some people said it didnt work in their pulses...especially the 2.1 firmware version can sb. tell me. if u dont see the meaning,i m sorry my english is not very well.. :D
