Guest ManOfSteal Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Rooted with r3.1 ROM with default MoDaCo additions and A2SD+, no problems. Partitioned 8GB SD card with ROM Manager to give a 512MB EXT3 partition. A2SD+ didn't appear to be functioning at all, so removed card to verify partitions were correct. Only FAT32 partition showing (using Parted Magic live CD and DiskInternals Linux reader on XP), the remainder showing as unallocated. I repartioned the card FAT32 and EXT3 (1GB), with GParted, partitions now showing correctly on PC. I added all the previous content from the card back onto it. Card back in phone and rebooted, stuck permanently on the white screen with HTC logo. Removed SD card and it starts up okay, minus some content. Did a hard reset, inserted SD card again, rebooted and stuck on same logo screen. Decided to delete the EXT3 partition (once again unallocated), same result. Am I missing something obvious here? Guest Bol2riz Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) I've got the same... just boot once without SD inside the phone. This should solve the problem. ... Hmm sorry haven't read the whole post... BTW I faced the same today and I've got to fresh install the rom with full wipe, with reboot without SD and I've got several issue because I've formatted my SD with Rom manager which seems to make ext2 and were not able to restore my backups made with ext3 partition... Guest ManOfSteal Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Thanks, I finally got that card in and working with the phone, but had to reformat the card completely, so it was a full 8GB of FAT32. Quite why 'unallocated space' on a card can cause such a problem is beyond me.
