Hi, I deleted active sync today for reasons that take too long to explain (+ dont want to embarass myself  ), but now i am trying to reinstall it. When I click on install now the "file download" thingy comes up, but its been downloading for more than 40 mins now and im sure it didn't take that long before, is there a reason for this :?:

There should be a copy on the Orange CD that came with your SPV. Install it from there, should take about 2mins

If it's not working you could try downloading it from the microsoft website, jsut search activesync. It's not too big and won't take too long.

I am having the same problem here, the only thing that i can think of is that i recently upgraded internet explorer and that installed outlook express 6. I'm not sure if it has to do with compatibility.

Outlook Express should not be the problem as it is not related to Activsync. Have you tried the latest version 3.7.1 from Microsoft?

yeh i got 3.7.1. Thing is when i install active sync the progress goes up to 92% and then just stops for 2 mins and then i get the error message "Error, cannot copy file wceushbsh.cat". So i am stumped, i have gone through and removed any programs i installed recently and still nothing. I think the only to get things back is to do a reinstall of my computer... i cringe at the thought of that.
