[solved] No GPS fix on 2G?

Did anybody notice that it's impossible to get a GPS fix in Maps Navigator while the phone is on 2G only (either forced by setting, or by network)?

If I set the phone to 2G only I don't get a fix until I disable the setting. But the other day I had it set to 3G allowed but didn't have 3G coverage and couldn't get a fix until I drove into 3G territory. On wireless I get a fix as well. Once I have a fix on 3G I can switch back to 2G and the fix stays, so it's only a 'bootstrap' problem as far as I understand.

I'm using 1.100.39 in combination with the superboot-920 kernel, but had the problem on 1.100.05 + LCR 1.6 as well.

update: Fixed using 2.100.07.EMEA.GEN1's radio (A1-04.04.05).

Today I drove home using Google Navigator while on 2G only. Biggest advantage: the battery doesn't overheat anymore while navigating! :angry:
