Guest Minus616 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Has anybody managed to get MMS working on o2? I know there are several threads but none are very clear on how to get MMS working on 2.1 I have changed the APN several times, and sometimes manage to get an MMS sent, but I have never recieved one, so does anybody have the APN or some kind of flashable fix? It's really starting to bug me  My current APN: # NAME - o2 UK payandgo # APN - Payandgo.o2.co.uk # PROXY - not set # PORT - 8080 # USERNAME - payandgo # PASSWORD - password # SERVER - 193.113.200.195 # MMSC - http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 # MMS - PROXY 193.113.200.195 # MMS - PORT 8080 # MCC - 234 # MNC - 10 # APN TYPE - not set Edited July 14, 2010 by Minus616
Guest skink666 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I'm on o2 and the only thing I change from the default o2 settings are APN - Payandgo.o2.co.uk Leave everything else as it is. Works fine for me on 1.5 and 2.1
Guest Minus616 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Yep I tried that, still no luck I'm using the FLB mod, would that affect it? I have also tried everything in these threads : http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...ettings-on-2-1/ http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...2-mms-problems/ None of which work
Guest Simon O Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Yep I tried that, still no luck I'm using the FLB mod, would that affect it? Depends what version of FLB you are running. Which is it?
Guest Minus616 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Depends what version of FLB you are running. Which is it? FLB-MOD 1.0 with LauncherPro Download: flbmod_v1.0lp.zip (70.3 MB) MD5SUM: 52FCEF84CA163D23C010C09AED19227E ^ That one, but I doubt it would since I have had MMS troubles back in the good old 1.5 days.
Guest skink666 Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Look here, this worked for me o2 mms fix Basically you install estrong file manager on your phone, use that to replace the file on your phone with the one attached and hey presto it works. Also attached is a replacement mms.apk which allows you to replace the default messaging app with a new version so you get your pictures to be sent a decent size. It's all explained in the link above.O2.UK.MMS.FIX.zipmms_useragent_changer_v2.zip
Guest Simon O Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Just a note, that Mms.apk contained in the ZIP is for an older version of Android. You are much better off using HandcentSMS which has a similar user-agent patch built-in.
Guest quincy456 Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 is the mms thing fixed in the TMUK 2.1 update does anyone know?
