Acer Eclair 1.100.39 retired?

Seems today acer has removed 1.100.39 rom from support sites.

It was ok, but nothing special compared to 1.100.05

I think that is something related with the new installer.

I didn't notice anything bad either. works fine. Usually if they have something newer they would just replace existing one without removing it first.

It is as slow as 1.000.05, still suffers of sudden slowdowns & the phone still freezes on me while in standby (less frequently, but hey...)

Only real improvement above 1.100.05 is in sms speed.

I thought it was a great improvement over 1.100.05 but may be a placebo effect but I welcome any newer ROM :-)

it was slow. or you can say that it was not even nearly as fast as you would expect an official rom to be.

for me, the first test of any bin is that if it can scroll the homescreens smoothly with the default 'android home', and if it can't it certainly needs some work (and .39 could not)

although the homescreen scrolling with launcherpro on vanilla .39 was VERY smooth (even much smoother than overclocked lcr), but what counts is how well the vanilla software is performing. wdyt??

For me was a bad release, not fast as 1.100.05, no smooth, no good in general, the Drigerott custom rom based on official bin wasn't good as previous versions, I think because the new bin was not good.

Can be I'm the only one who had problems, but was the first time i saw a bad rom like this, very similar to first version of eclair leaked...
