No camera at all in FRF91 custom r21?

I successfully installed the Froyo FRF91 custom ROM r21 onto my N1 a couple of days ago, but today I realized that there are a couple of problems that don't seem to be mentioned in any other posts. First issue, HUGE one actually-------my camera app is missing. The icon is replaced with the generic android icon and I get the error message that the feature is not installed. Second issue, of lesser urgency, I cannot set ringtones via Astro file manager. The option is displayed but grayed out. I had been using a custom ringtone that I created a while ago and I cannot get it to install.

Does anyone have the fix for the camera thing? (N1 camera is fine, don't need the Desire one.....)

Or the ringtone issue?

I have never heard of a separate "camera app" so I wonder if something went wrong in the baking (I baked it with a2sd+ and trackball wake)----- do I need to rebake or please can someone just give me an update to flash or a camera app to install so I don't have to go through all of the baking etc again...??

Thanks very much.

did you do a wipe before installing? Is it the camera shortcut on your home screen/launcher? I had to re add all of my android shortcuts on my home screen after a new rom and ti restore.

For the astro issue, is there a newer version? Did you by any chance upgrade from 2.1?

I did not have to wipe for the update. Yes, it is the camera shortcut on the home screen which is generic android and tells me that there is no app installled. I also tried to install the camera app itself through Astro and it would not install. I have been getting all my apps updated as the updates are announced, I will check for that again, but I really am stuck on the camera problem.

is it only the icon on your home screen or is it also the one in the app drawer. If it is in your app drawer and launches then just delete the shortcut from the home screen and re add it, (press and hold on the home screen and add shortcut"

As far as Astro goes I have version 2.5.2 with R21 and I can set music files as ringtones without issue. If you would like to make your ringtones available in the ringtone list of the phone then create a folder called "media" with a subfolder called "ringtones" on your SD card and move your custom tones to there. Once the file is moved you can go to Settings->Sound->Phone Ringtone and it will appear there as well as any other places that you can set a ringtone for.

If you also create a sub folder called "notifications" and put a music file in there, it will show up in your list of notification tones

Thank you everyone!! Yes, a new camera app was in the drawer. I should have checked there to begin with, I guess the shortcut was linked to a prior phone app. I replace the shortcut and I am breathing a sigh of relief. I updated Astro, and still can't seem to work the ringtone thing but I did create a new folder on the sd called "ringtones" and the system picked up my custom ringtone from there.

Happy day. I'm all set, for now. Thanks again.
