help with the "Android Keyboard"

i am currently on the official 2.1 update 1 software on my u8220 and the android keyboard is quite annoying. it imports the names of people in my contact list and prioritizes them in a way where someones name in my contact list could be "annie" and if i want to write "and" it will automatically import annies name without me selecting anything. is there a way i can turn this off?

its probably something simple like a settings change i'm sure its no problem for you guys.. please help

p.s please dont tell me to get a new keyboard as i am quite fond of this on.. however if thats the only solution please suggest the best one. :angry:

i dont use android keyboard but it wont b anything technical just mess on with the settings and youll ge5 it eventually, i recommend the htc keyboard its excellent and fast 10/10

Try to disable "text prediction"

When I go to menu > settings > language and keyboard > Android Keyboard

There's only three options to change, and that is

Vibration while typing (on /off)

Sound while typing (on/off)

Auto capitalization (on /off)

That's all that's there. No option to disable auto correct, nothing

No there isn't. I had the same problem and it drove me nuts until I just installed a different keyboard.

Mess with the TouchPal settings to turn off the vibrate / sound (If it annoys you) turn on slide down symbols and you just enabled a real gem of a keyboard! :angry:
