Paul, its been a long time since you updated your "WIP" Could you let us know if you are planning to update the 2.1 ROM or are you to busy for Pulse stuff now? Trying to figure out if a class 6 sd upgrade is crucial for apps to SD. The FLB mod seems to suggest so.

Thanks

Matt

Don't think you need a class 6. There is a post from a few weeks back where people posted their SD benchmark scores and IIRC about class 4 was as much as the pulse could manage - have a look for the thread further back in the forum.

I'm using the original sdcard coming with the pulse, no problems with A2SD.

Really? It would not be beneficial for the Pulse to have higher than class 4?

The Pulse SD card reader's speed is class 6.

As far as i know putting Dalvik Cache on your SD only requires a card with class 4 or higher, because of the amount of reading/writing it would have to do from the card.

A2SD on the other hand doesn't require any specific class card.

Thanks, but I am confused. I have a 16gb class 2 card so dalvic on sd is hopelessly slow. But my memory keeps getting full if leaving dalvik on phone memory. I can't see point in A2SD if my installs are limited by the Dalvik. Can anyone tell me what Dalvik is for?? Why does dalvik get full when installing apps, and what happens if I just clear it with recovery?
