Help- Can't update OS!

I've recently had my old liquid replaced, and the one I have now is running the factory stock OS!

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I have tried updating the OS to OS_ACER_2.000.16.EMEA.GEN1_A16D_Liquid but the installer informs me that the " OS doesn't match, Stop process now". I've only tried using the OS updates from the official Acer UK site, and even the 2.1 update doesn't work, and the same message pops up on the updater.

Here is a little bit of information regarding my phone:

Firmware Version: 1.6

Kernel Version: 2.6.29

Build Number: Acer_Liquid_1.002.03_EMEA_GEN1

Country ID: EN_DE_FR_IT

I've used the Update Notification app to receive the appropriate link, and I have since been unable to update my phone.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance/ links, that could point me in the right direction!

Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find any other threads that helped,

If it helps I am running windows Vista, 32 bit!

Many thanks (in advance),

Sammy.

are you using the acer download tool, or the new tool provided?

Hey,

I'm using only what was provided from the official Acer download link provided by the update notification app on my phone.

I've downloaded the zipped file, unzipped it, and I ran the setup application. The tool launches, I install the download tool to the program files/Acer Inc folder, and shortly after starting the next stage I am told "OS file type not match. Stop process now"...

If it helps I am running windows Vista, 32 bit!

Thanks in Advance
