Guest DeepBlueEditor Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) In my deep continual searches for a BING that works, I swear I tried 20 different BING.cab files last night - I found this link on a sister forum: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=1...mp;postcount=18 It installed and seems to be working. Can't see my GPS yet but that may be a setup issue. My heartfelt thanks to the author of the cab file there, Lmiller1708 Please thank him if you find this useful. Maybe we can have our BING back. I love Google Maps and my older Garmin XT but this was working well before someone killed it off at either M$ or VZW. I don;t think we ever did figure out how to work around it but he must have removed the HD screen check in the newer versions or something. Hope this helps others. YMMV. I am attempting to attach it here directly. : ) S. PS, if it eats your system and rots your teeth, not my fault. You have been warned. Seems - "Mostly Harmless" so far.Bing_Config_Fix.CAB Edited July 20, 2010 by DeepBlueEditor

Doh! Nope. Using 2009 maps. From the usual "source". Argh. Not a fan of it compared to my hardware TomTom but it's OK. If Google gets voice and TbyT, I'll go for that. If it at least did rerouting on the fly I would go with it alone. s
