Why can't i send email from my btinternet account?

I seem to be able to download my email by using POP3, but when i try and send mail i get an error.

If I look at my email setting in outlook the email server for sending seems to be set to SMTP.

Does this mean i can only download my bt email, not send it? Or is there some way to set my SPV to use smtp to send email?

Any help appreciated.

Ensure your sending server is set to SMTP.ORANGE.NET, regardless of your ISP.
