Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 they brot it down! wtf?! anyone able to dl it before it was taken down? OS_Acer_1.100.09.EMEA.GEN1_A21E_A is now available at acer.fr-es. On UK site though, u can get 1.100.13.EMEA.CUS1! Im currently on 1.100.39 and right now really confused... 3 official releases in less than a month WTF ACER???? I dont wanna spend all of my evenings flashing new ROMs!!
Guest Rainman168 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 OS_Acer_1.100.09.AAP.GEN2_A21E_A was not available on ACER HK. You can download the file on the following location. http://www.sendspace.com/file/w0h49d
Guest fpbasilio Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 a few hours ago it was there.. but then they took it down. why? is the hk rom same as the one in singapore acer website?
Guest Rainman168 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 a few hours ago it was there.. but then they took it down. why? is the hk rom same as the one in singapore acer website? It is because all Liquid sold in HK are having custom CSL ROM which is unable to flash with stock ACER ROM.
Guest fpbasilio Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It is because all Liquid sold in HK are having custom CSL ROM which is unable to flash with stock ACER ROM. what does this mean? does it mean that even if i download this, it wont work?
Guest Edward.W Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Is it really a stable version? Can't understand why Acer took it down so quickly after release the new Rom
Guest navygino Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Extracted the .bin but MD5 fail in Acer Download Tool...... any idea???
Guest y7038862 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Is it really a stable version? Can't understand why Acer took it down so quickly after release the new Rom  the reason is the packed version not worked with CSL rom to this rom directly - extract .bin and flash wtih ACER TOOL 3.1 should be work not yet try
Guest fpbasilio Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 the reason is the packed version not worked with CSL rom to this rom directly - extract .bin and flash wtih ACER TOOL 3.1 should be work not yet try what is CSL rom?

Guest Edward.W Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 what is CSL rom? It comes up with the apps that provided by the company (some services like: music download....etc) And some other stuff in Browser
Guest navygino Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I somehow flash the bin successfully even the MD5 is fail !!!! OS_Acer_1.100.09.AAP.GEN2_A21E_Liquid.bin Download link here: Do it at your own risk, you had been warned!! http://www.speedyshare.com/files/23464884/...N2_A21E.bin.zip
Guest navygino Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Flashed again and it is repeatable.....
Guest supergod Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Flashed again and it is repeatable..... Wow, you are pretty brave to do so. I did it in a "safer" way, well at least I think so. (Error message free.) I just flash my Liquid back to the previous release 2.000.13.AAP.GEN2 using the Acer Download Tool 3.1 (The old download tool does not care about the previous rom version) Then I can use the official installation package (Acer Download Tool 5.2) to flash the new 1.100.09.AAP.GEN2 rom. (It checks if the current installed rom is GEN2) Anyway, the stock rom is pretty slooooow and laggy. I used superboot for 1.100.05 to root the unit(works fine). Then I put LCR 1.7.2 on it and it's running fine at the moment. Edited July 21, 2010 by supergod
Guest navygino Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Then I put LCR 1.7.2 on it and it's running fine at the moment. If you flash LCR on top of .09 AAP ROM, is it still have chinese UI???
Guest supergod Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 If you flash LCR on top of .09 AAP ROM, is it still have chinese UI??? Nope, the Chinese UI will be gone. By the way, the "Big5 encoding" option in the browser is not available even with stock rom. I remembered that it is available on the 1.6 stock rom. I thought that the encoding option was not there just because I am using the EMEA rom. Wondering if it is simply not available in the 2.1 rom or?

Is it normal in battery consumption?
Guest Edward.W Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Just test this Rom for a while, speed is relatively slower than LCR :( Still testing with some other stuff
