FRF91, Installed wrong superboot, Trying to custon ROM!

NOTE: I USE A MAC.

Spent a good 5 hours last night in trying to unlock bootloader (success), flash ARA's newest version of recovery onto my phone - v1.0.7.1 (success), and flash from zip card the desire rom onto my nexus one (FAIL).

I've tried many different paths in my effort to actually get my phone to flash the desire rom (r22.1 FYI), the problem is, it always fails to pass the verification and gets an error during the installation process and it gets aborted. Now I understand that three things could go wrong here. First, the rom I downloaded is corrupt (that's out of the equation, as I re-downloaded the thing at least 10 times). Secondly, the ROM has not been signed (also out of the equation, as I downloaded Paul's r22.1 - newest desire rom). Third, the signature on the superboot components don't match my phone's version or something like that (it's so technologically jazzy I can't wrap my head around it.) Now I'm guessing the reason for this is because my Nexus runs FRF91 and I initially thought the FRF83 version of superboot would work with my phone (Obviously it doesn't). To my understanding, Paul's FRF91 version of superboot is coming out soon (When paul??? When??!!). I was wondering that when I install the CORRECT version of the soon coming out superboot, if it would OVERWRITE the incorrect version I have installed. If not, is there anyway to delete the wrong superboot components off my phone before I install the correct one?

I have tried flashing my phone to an older version of ROM, like the ERD79, but I can't flash ANYTHING as ANYTHING I try to flash from ARA's recovery gets aborted as the verification fails. I'm guessing I'm essentially "stuck" in FRF91 (yikes), I've even tried naming the rom update.zip and passimg.zip

Please help me pinpoint my problem and any solutions would be appreciated! Preferably not having to download the android SDK, adb and all that jazz as I am quite digitally incompetent.

Any help is appreciated!

To root the FRF91, just flash this through the amon ra's recovery and it should be good.

I have tried this method too. I packaged the folder you linked me to download as "update.zip", and flash zip from sd'ed it through amonra's recovery, it still pops up with this message:

Install from sdcard...

Finding update package...

Opening update package...

Verifying update package...

E:No signature (44 files)

E:Verification failed

Installation aborted.

Fail... I don't think I can flash anything through Amonra, hence I think I'm stuck in FRF91. Anyway I could do this through the computer without having to download the SDK and db stuff? Or any other methods/suggestions?

So... if you're brave you may try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614850 .

Going back to the original state of the phone, then upgrading via rooted version, then getting the sense Rom or seomthing else.

Mmmm... interesting. Thanks for your opinion. Do you think when the FRF91 version of superboot comes out, and I install it, the problem will be fixed?

I think so because it will overwrite the existing datas.

Hopefully. Do you think the correct superboot version will allow me to finally rid the annoying verification errors when I'm trying to flash the ROM?
