Which Official ROM??? (Redux)

After months of waiting it seems that Acer has gone crazy with the release of multiple Eclair ROMS within days.. Even though its not generally adopted by the forum´s users, there are still a few of us that prefere official releases (call us crazy, its ok). So my question is, if theres somebody that actually tested them all (pure official releases, no LCR or anything else), which official 2.1 seems to be running better in terms of stabillity, speed? Im currently on 1.100.39.EMEA.GEN1_A21E_A but im lookin for info on how do 1.100.09.EMEA.GEN1 (Acer Spain) & 1.100.13.EMEA.CUS1 (Acer UK) do compared to the one i got. If anyone has tried those out, could spare me (and others i suppose) a few hours of flashing & testing. So any feedback would greatly appreciated.. :angry:

I have 1.100.39 and I just tried to flash 1.100.13 and it gave me an error saying I couldn't do it since my phone is a 'GEN1' lol

Thanx for the reply mate, i suppose the same would be for me too (on .39 at the mo) so this only leaves .09 . Some users here and on the french liquid forum have flashed it already, lets see if theres any feedback from them.

from 1.100.39 to 1.100.09

=> downgraded baseband A1-04.02.02 to A1-04.02.01

=> same libs

=> différent framework

=> older acces point list

=> different apps

=> build date Tue Jun 22 => Wed May 19

for me Nothing intersting to downgrade from 0.39 to 0.09 if you have no problem. Will acer communicate about the reason of retire ?

I've heard 1.100.09 is a temporary rom, while they are trying to fix problem with logs at 1.100.39.

They give us 18.08 as new rom(1.100.39+) release date.

To go from GEN1 to CUS1 or whatever (works with any region)

1.) Get Acer Download Tool: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EF2QNANO

2.) Download a rom .05 or lower( Eclair or Donut, tho for CUS1, I could only find a donut rom) that has the desired region(for .13, this would be CUS1)

3.) Flash the rom with the Acer A1 Download tool

4.) Download the Rom you wanted to flash to your device(in this case, the .13 rom from the Acer UK site)

5.) Flash the rom using the official acer upgrade tool provided by said rom

6.) Dance!

yeah the old acer tool lets u flash whatever region ROM u like

Thanx for the throrough description. Is it possible that the .09 feels snappier than the .39, or is it a placebo? Why cant they just decide on a single stable/fast ROM...
