OK Confused... SD Card before r5

Hi,

I want to flash Paul's r5 from the online kitchen (as soon as I can find my credit card!) but I'm confused over the SD card. I rooted yesterday using unrevoked's 1 click solution, and as a tester installed DeVillain's 1.0 ROM, which is ok, but seems a tad sluggish sometimes, and there's a problem with Voice Search. After reading all the reviews here I want to try Paul's ROM with AS2D+.

Now, if I have DeVillain 1.0 on, and have selected to have apps installed on SD card, do I need to wipe it again and install the FAT32 partition and EXT3, or is it already done? (Thinking that the apps are on the SD card so something must have happened there for them to install). I wiped the card before installing DeVillain, but didn't partition it (couldn't find any options in Recovery to do so or set sizes).

Just a tad confused over this before I proceed, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
