Guest gcgspain Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Hi, during last week it seems I am having trouble to install/update apps from the market. Sometimes it is a matter of trying over and over again or waiting a few hours and others I have uninstall the app to be able to update properly. I am on r21 - MoDaCo Custom ROM for Nexus One with Online Kitchen - Froyo FRF91 and it is getting very annoying lately. I have over 30mb left of internal memory and over 2000 mb on the sd card. Any ideas of what the problem may be??? Thanks.
Guest Strongy Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 What happens when you try to install? An error message or does the phone lock up and reboot?
Guest gcgspain Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 What happens when you try to install? An error message or does the phone lock up and reboot? Ok I have sort of fixed it: I used the official "move to SD" froyo for the apps that allowed it. At first I though it had nothing to do with this as the problem also ocurred with apps that did not support moving to sd. In the end it seems the problem WAS indeed with those apps. So fix nº1: move the app back to the phone and update fix nº 2: To install new apps or to update some apps you need to go into settings - storage and unmount the SD card, then install or update Later on today, I will try formatting the sd to see if that fixes it for good, without having to unmount or move to the phone. I hope this can help people with similar problems. (by the way, the phone did not lock up or reboot at all, just got an error msg saying "error installing app".
